I could be brown, I could be blue, I could be violet sky …

#Quest2016 Tracking Wonder
Prompt #7: by John Jantsch – Duct Tape Marketing #Payoff

What can you stop doing in 2016 such that it would allow you to focus on higher payoff activities?

I am a terrible Guardian of My Time and Defender of My Priorities

I am painfully aware of Time’s value and I consciously do all in my power to respect the time of others at home, at work and in the world at large.

For almost two decades, my life purpose was to create the space where others’ needs, development and goal achievement would be supported wholeheartedly, with love and whenever possible. As a stay-at-home Mother and Wife, I thoroughly enjoyed my full-time engagement with establishing environments that were nurturing, stimulating, safe, productive and fun.

I’ve been back int he workforce for more than three years now and I have made great gains towards realizing a healthier life balance for myself with regards to changing behaviours, mindsests, beliefs and supports that no longer align with my existing circumstances.

There are 3 things I need to stop doing in 2016 if I hope to realize transition and transformation that will ultimately serve me and all others in my sphere of influence.  This is going to take commitment, courage and a willingness to disappoint from time to time; all aspects that have prevented me from taking action thus far.

In 2016, I will mindfully stop giving myself away.

An affirmation to help me action this:

My time and creative priorities are valuable commodities that I steward wisely in the best interests of all.

In 2016, I will stop letting doubt and uncertainty keep me in subservience vs service.

An affirmation to help me action this:

I will honour my gifts, abilities, and influence in the support of the wounded Spirits who need the wisdom, insight and clarity I provide.

In 2016, I will stop honouring my fears of Embarassment, Failure and Potentially Being Wrong as roadblocks that halt progress.

An affirmation to help me action this:

I embrace opportunities to impress myself, and serve others, in the knowing that, Daring Greatly, learning and growth bring greater rewards to all concerned than living small and afraid.

Writing this down is the easy part.

Breathing life into each promise and animating them into Being, Serving, Growing will be uncomfortable, challenging and awkward.

Until, it becomes Exhilarating, Enchanting, and Fulfilling.

It is time to stop buckling to questions that do not matter. [Enjoy ‘Why Don’t You Like Me’ by clicking on the video below – it’s quirky and fun, like me ….]

  1. I could absolutely relate to the third one. And it amazes me how many people express that fear in one way or another. Lovely photos through your post, Sally. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas.
