I Believe in You …

Dear Uncertain Heart,

I see you. I am you. Do you have a moment for Gentle Counsel?

Look at this photograph – what do you see?

Believe

Where do your eyes rest?

What captures your attention?

Did a memory suddenly come to mind, perhaps a song started playing in your head?

My attention is drawn to the 3 leafs to the left of Believe. They are in focus, they are lit up, they seem to be saying,

The growing, here, in this place where you now are, is done. You are focused, you are lit from within and notice how we all three are pointing to what you must do next: Believe.

This leafy trinity speaks to readiness and the need to believe; ready for what? believe in what?

I look at the photograph again and I see the Butterfly, the Ball and Chain, vast empty space beyond the branches of the tree. I sit with this, in the quiet. The clues assemble themselves within my mind’s eye, the message reaches my heart and I recognize its truth.

Believe in the possibility of transformation. Believe that all you drag along in the form of a ball and chain actually served to created links in a chain connecting you to where you are meant to be next.

Do you see that the ball is golden, that it’s filled with light, that it’s swinging with unseen momentum? It desires to be the platform from which you may ascend to wherever it is you believe you could be.

Note that transformation does not mean you must cast off all that got you here. See the leafy tendrils weaving through the e’s – they are there to ‘ease’ your journey with their connection to your learning, your history, the roots from whence you came.

Believe in the possibility of transformation. Believe in the possibility of you.

And when you’ve got your head and heart around that, serve as the Belief in the possibility of another.

  1. I see the red in butterfly’s wings, pointing in four directions. Lots of energy there. But you’re right, it has to be on a foundation of belief.

And, I was struck by these words “Believe that all you drag along in the form of a ball and chain actually served to created links in a chain connecting you to where you are meant to be next.” That is so true.
