Heeding the call, venturing back …

 Windchimes, Fall, Summer

I marked my first year back to full-time employment this week (Wednesday September 4th). I’ve learned lots, grown lots, and in many ways, have held on to aspects of my Self that matter to me.

I am here, now, to create the space to return. Having been gone so long – I was nervous of returning; how to re-enter, familiarizing myself with the ‘hows’ of posting and discovering that there have been A LOT of updates to this posting platform since December 2012 – it’s all a little intimidating.

Yet, I am heeding the call – the call to write, the call to share, the call to connect.

So, here I am, now – the wind chime hanging true amidst the changing seasons. And now that my ‘first’ post upon returning has been published ~ it will get easier as I go.

Wishing you all wondrous moments of enlightenment upon your own reflections ~ because we’re all magnificent at heart, we really truly are.

Hi Sally, glad I found your site and happy to see, that you are writing again. Life challenges me at the moment. I´m out of a job after working for 17 years at my last job. I take it as a time out in order to re-evaluate things and your writing helps me to do so. Always looking forward to it. With best wishes from Germany. Sonja (Schoell).

  2. Saw you in my email so had to click the link. First thought when I started reading was did the heading mean she was going to write about venturing back to work, and my heart kind of did a little slip and couldn’t wait to read on and was delighted to read you mean venturing back to writing. It will be so great to read Sally again. 🙂

Thank you Peabea. I’ve enjoyed this past year in the working world – and am now ready to carve out time to write, reflect and connect once again. I’ve been taking small steps as I learn to balance and adjust ~ knowing I’ll get to my desired destination at some point …

Welcome back, Sally! I’ve missed you and am delighted to ‘see’ you again, though not terribly surprised. Here’s the thing: I’m pretty sure the Universe poked me in advance of your return last week when I decided to go through my old emails (some dating back to 2010!). Among them were some of your old posts and I couldn’t resist the urge to revisit them, revisit you, which made me miss you all over again and yet I felt some spark of…I don’t know, joy?
The Universe may be a wiseguy but it sure knows what it’s doing.

Thank you Jen. The Universe is INDEED a wise guy. My host server recently did a server migration ~ and since then, a few back-end aspects of my site and the email link tied to it aren’t working quite the same. I think I may have fixed a few things – but the loading speed of everything remains slow. At least I’m aware I have comments now – THAT’S something! Great to ‘see’ you here …

Thank you Kim. Sometimes the ‘unplugging’ can take awhile. I’m looking forward to creating a new way of doing things that allows me to include time here as well. Grateful you’re here.

That’s really what it all is, isn’t it Laurie? An Adventure. I am learning to enjoy the all of it – the Universe is great at sending us what we need, even if we don’t know we need it at the time. So glad you’re here.
